A British woman living in Australia offered £28 to anyone who could help her remove a massive killer spider from her home.

The young woman was told by people online she should leave the country after discovering the massive beast in the corner of her house near Sydney, Australia.

The jumbo huntsman spider was spotted near the ceiling of her home in the city’s eastern suburb of Coogee.

Even though she offered cash for the brave soul able to get rid of the monster, many people felt the spider was simply too giant for the price being asked.

Taking to a local ex-pat's Facebook page she posted the advert begging for help, reports the Mail.

“Is anyone good with spiders? Will happily pay someone $50 to get this spider out my apartment in Coogee,” she said.

Suggestions from people online said she would be far better off going to greater, and far more grisly lengths to remove it.

One person, seemingly thinking property paled in comparison to the size of the threat, said: “Just burn the house down.”

A woman suggested: “Maybe it’s time to move country”.

“Burn the house to the ground,” added a third.

Huntsmen spiders tend to move into houses during the summer months in Australia because – like everything else – they’re trying to get out of the heat.

The woman is of course far from the only person to have moved to Australia and come up against the massive arachnids, but this one was particularly enormous.

One bloke said: “Is that thing on steroids or what?”

Some people, told off by others for “overreacting,” said that not even $500 (£280) would be enough to get them to come and remove the eight-legged killer, which can grow as big as 15cm.

Some were however more relaxed about the situation.

“That’s a huntsman it won’t hurt you and they kill mosquitoes. I suggest a vacuum cleaner,” a woman said.

Another no-nonsense user added: “Don’t hurt them just get a pint glass and a bit of cardboard and trap it then put out the door.”
