The World's Scariest Man weighs the same amount as Russian monster Nikolai Valuev did during his heavyweight boxing career.

Martyn Ford has claimed in new training footage to weigh 145kg ahead of his fight with fellow bodybuilder Sajad Gharibi, also known as the Iranian Hulk.

This weight is equal to 319lb, which is similar to the weight of former heavyweight world champion Valuev for his last professional bout against David Haye in 2009.

For their meeting in Nuremburg, Germany, the towering 7ft 2in Valuev weighed in at a colossal 316lb according to the Guardian, 45kg more than his opponent Haye.

Ford showed off his footwork in a clip uploaded to his Instagram account on Tuesday, which he captioned: "Changing my narrative, building a beast from scratch, leaving nothing to chance… moving well for 145kg, but we can always be better."

In the video, Ford can be seen rotating in a circle as he hops on and off a Bosu ball - half a medicine ball - whilst switching his weight-bearing foot with each bounce.

He is set to face Gharibi at the O2 Arena in London on April 30, with the pair headlining a stacked card of celebrity boxing fights, which will include Patrice Evra's boxing debut.

Nikolai Valuev

Ford looks set to enter the ring at a similar weight to the intimidating Valuev, who retired in 2009 with a professional record of 50-2, with 34 of those wins coming via knockout.

The Russian fighter twice held the WBA heavyweight title, firstly between 2005 and 2007, before regaining his belt in 2008 and holding it for another year.

His fight with Haye, billed as 'David vs Goliath', in November 2009 proved to be his final bout, with Haye winning via a majority decision, despite his opponent's hulking size.

Since retiring, Valuev has moved into politics and has been a member of the State Duma in his native Russia since December 2011.
