The Pussycat Doll star is just days away from waltzing her way onto the ice rink for this year’s hugely-anticipated Dancing On Ice.

But ahead of her debut, 34-year-old Melody Thornton has been dealt some tragic news.

Taking to Twitter shortly after Christmas, the stunning songstress revealed she had sadly lost a close friend.

“Almost 2019 and I’ve lost a friend,” she told her followers.

She continued: “I’m so grateful I had a chance to see you last year after a long stretch Buddy! You had my back and looked after us ladies with your life.

“My BUDDY! Love you Dave.”

Fans of the gorgeous gal were quick to inundate her with their condolences and messages of support.

One user wrote: “Oh man I know who you’re referring to, he was part of the Doll Domination tour crew. Loved that guy, ugh, so sad, Dave was awesome.”

Another of her fans added: “Sorry about your loss Melody. Hope that you’re okay. Sending strength and love from Dean.”

While another follower chimed: “So sorry for your loss Mel, condolences.”

Melody’s tragic news comes shortly before her first appearance on the ITV show, which will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Speaking to MailOnline, the star revealed she surprisingly hadn’t taken any dancing tips from her former Pussycat Dolls bandmate, Ashley Roberts.

Ashley recently appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, where she regularly impressed the judges with her incredible moves, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Stacey Dooley.

“What's interesting actually is I have picked up things without her even telling me,” Melody explained.

She continued: “So watching her go through Strictly... But she hasn't given me any tips because she's been busy as hell!

“I’m going to let her cool off, and then hopefully she will!”

Dancing on Ice starts on ITV on Sunday January 6, 2019, at 6pm.
