Legendary actor Liam Neeson told Collider.com he would return as Qui-Gon Jinn in one future “Star Wars” project if he was asked to do so.

What’s going on?

Neeson starred as the famous Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy. Jinn was the master of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film. He was later killed by Darth Maul in the famous lightsaber battle at the end of “The Phantom Menace.”

Neeson said he didn’t know that fans want to see Qui-Gon Jinn back in “Star Wars,” but he would be open to returning. Specifically, he might be interested in returning in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+ series.

  • “Sure, I’d be up for that, yeah.”

Any other legendary characters to return?

In 2019, there were some reports that Joel Edgerton, who played Owen Lars in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy, might return to the show since he would be living on Tatooine at the same time as Obi-Wan Kenobi, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.

  • “Caught up with Joel Edgerton today (check out THE KING! I really enjoyed),” Josh Horowtiz tweeted at the time. “I have almost no doubt based on his coy evasiveness that he will be in the Obi Wan Disney+ series. I’ve seen many an actor playfully evade. I’m placing a big bet that Owen will be back.”

There are some rumors Darth Maul could make an appearance in the “Obi-Wan” series, too. He briefly appeared in the animated “Star Wars Rebels”

We know that Darth Vader will appear in the new show, bringing Hayden Christensen back into the “Star Wars” universe.
