By Marcia Gay Harden has been cast in How to Get Away with Murder.
The actress will join the ABC drama in a recurring capacity, although details about her character are being kept under wraps, reports TVLine.
Harden, an Oscar winner for her role in the 2000 film Pollock, is known for starring in films such as Mystic River and Into the Wild.
She has also appeared in several television series, such as Damages, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Newsroom.
Harden will play Christian Grey's mother in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie.
How to Get Away with Murder - starring Viola Davis - was recently given a full-season order by ABC.
