Early each year, the Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) brings pride and celebrations to the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies. Coming off the high of Sydney WorldPride 2023, the program for the SGLMG 2024 celebrations has been released with the theme Our Future.

With hundreds of events running during Mardi Gras, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who wasn’t satisfied by the variety of options. We are listing events from the program we are particularly looking forward to!

Progress Pride Flag Raising

From February 16 until March 03, the progress pride flag will fly atop Sydney Town Hall. The very raising of the flag officially marks the beginning of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2024.

Mardi Gras Party

Arguably one of the most iconic SGLMG events, the Mardi Gras Party has been a jewel in the crown of the LGBTQIA+ party scene for decades. World-renowned DJs and performers grace the stage to deliver an adult playground of pleasure. Bondi Beach Party

A grand beachside celebration that captured hearts at Sydney WorldPride returns. Bringing together 15,000 revellers as the iconic Bondi Beach is the backdrop to international DJs and performances for that distinct Sydney Mardi Gras flair. Join the festivities February 24, 2024.

Kick on the Bondi vibes and soak up the summer sun at Paradiso Pool Party. After all, what’s Mardi Gras without a pool party?! The Paradiso Pool Party is on for February 26, 2024 and you’re invited to kick back by the pool and enjoy the Sydney sun while international DJs set the vibes.

Kaftana Pool Party

On Saturday, March 02, there will be colour, there will be confidence, there will be charisma and there will be character. Over 200 floats from every corner of our communities will fill Oxford Street, Flinders Street and Anzac Parade with music and magic for the 46th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Laneway

Fair Day
