EARTH MOTO - BAKULA
BASED ON HONDA NX650 DOMINATOR 1991

The idea was to make something from Honda NX650 Dominator. Why? Because I know this bike very well. I own this model a couple of years and I enjoy it.

In 2021 we decided in Earth Moto that we buy second Dominator and rebuild it.

First we made model Cikula which was a base for this bike named Bakula. Compared to Cikula it has a single LED 5,25-inch headlight Highsider instead of two lens lights mounted in windshield made of motorcycle fender. There is a brown real leather custom-made seat made by our seat master.

The whole subframe was cut off. We tried to keep straight lines with the tank to keep an arrow-like shape and an aggressive look. We used 25/2mm tubes to achieve it. It doesn't look like the tubes are bent but they are on the joints with main frame. It is visible from the top view.

The rear lights are inside the rear tubes. These Highsider rear lights are 3 in 1., so it has a brake light, rear light, and blinkers. They fit perfectly. The end of the tube is polished and finished with a clear coat to prevent rust.

FRONT LIGHTS

Front lights and LED indicators.

REAR LIGHTS

LED light/indicators integrated into frame.
CE approved.

The exhaust is new with modified and shortened headers. We couldn't get the 60 degrees 50mm stainless steel bent pipe so we used a 45 degrees pipe. Now we are happy that we could get one. The sharp angle is just on par with the frame and the exhaust gases have plenty of room to get out quickly. We designed the pipe on the side under the frame.

It is just far enough not to burn the seat and just enough to not burn your right leg. Obviously, the whole engine, brakes, wheels, etc... were completely rebuilt. The whole electronic is new and based on Motogadget M-Unit Blue. The Aliant LiFePo4 battery is hidden under the end of the tank along with M-Unit and Dominator's control unit.

There were a few people thinking there is no battery at all. Outside under the seat is the LiFePo4 regulator. The front wheel is a new 19-inch rim instead of 21- inch. The tires are Mitas E -07+ and they look awesome on the bike. However, they need to be pressurized on the lower edge because these tires are really heavy duty and the bike's weight is only 139kg without fuel.

Obviously, there is no option for a passenger because we got rid of the rear footpegs. This bike is suited for a customer who wants a bike for fun as a second bike. It can be ridden in streets of a big city as well as an exploring countryside. However, this bike is definitely a hardcore trail all-weather expedition bike.

It is much lower than the original due to a smaller wheel but also because of the shortened front forks by 5cm. Even I, 176cm tall dude, feel comfy on this bike. Not high but still with a good perspective of the terrain in front of me. It is much more agile compared to my Dominator.

Also maybe because of the high flow air filter and bigger carburetor jets, which made a huge difference in the engine running. The tank is fine pearl white with a satin clear coat. Wider handlebars a lower seat, and much lower weight make this bike very fun to ride.
