This is a beautiful 3D printed Liahona with a working compass inside. This a great display piece and an awesome wedding gift! It is hinged, so you can open it and see the compass better. There are rings surrounding the compass that spin so a large variety of sayings can be shown and changed in these made up Egyptian characters.
You can purchase this separately, with the gift box or plaque, it makes a perfect wedding gift! The unique gift box is laser cut out of Walnut wood veneer and closes with a metal latch, it has a quote from Alma 37:45 on the lid. The plaque has the same scripture but is a little bigger and comes with it's own matching easel. You will see a spot to choose your options at checkout.

~The Liahona is 3D printed with black PLA plastic and painted gold. PLA is biodegradable and made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. The base of the Liahona is filled with sand to give it more weight.

~Liahona measurements are approximately 4.25" wide and 4.75" tall.

The Liahona was originally given to Lehi, who is a prophet of God, his son Nephi became a prophet also and used the Liahona on his travels from Jerusalem to America. He traveled with the brass plates which were a history of his ancestors and they used the Liahona to guide them across the ocean.
We don't really know what the real Liahona looked like, just a description in the Book of Mormon, it’s found in 1 Nephi16:9-10. Part of it reads “a round ball of curious workmanship; and it was of fine brass. And within the ball were two spindles; and the one pointed the way whither we should go into the wilderness” I used this and various pictures to come up with my own design. My daughter gave me the idea to make this and put a real compass inside. I hope you enjoy the Liahona and have fun using it while teaching about the story of Nephi.
