Good location, HOWEVER, we were in the middle of a construction zone - common areas (entry, stairs, elevator (not working) - dust, debri, exposed wires, hazards, inconvenience, noise - It may be worth the price once renovation is completed but certainly NOT in current condition. There was a power failure in building when checking out - difficult to manuever 3 flights of dark stairways to get out. Communication was not the greatest - never got address or check in info until 24-48 hours before arrival - way too late, especially when we were in transit and having to make pickup arrangements for other activities. Wasn't wild about getting a text 24 hrs before arrivial re: having to pay in cash an additional 60 euros (5 euro per person, per night) tax upon checkin.

A real gem in Barcelona
We arrived and felt that we were in a Design magazine home. The apartment is huge with high ceilings and has been totally modernized and has very high end furnishings, art work, and decor. We had many beds and 3 modern bathrooms w/toilets and showers. It is located in the most posh area of Barcelona, Eixample, and countless restaurants, cafes, shopping surround. The highlight was that our floor to ceiling windows and balcony looked at the back of Casa Batllo!!! We were just around the corner from this UNESCO World Heritage site along with Casa Amatlier and Casa Mila! It was fantastic to have our own kitchen for breakfast and coffee at home as well. We highly recommend a stay in this real gem of Barcelona.

Great location / As pictured!
Property is exactly as pictured. Very beautiful. It is in such a convenient area near shops, restaurants, etc. we walked to most places. Communication with host(s) was fine. No issues there. Ideally the construction on elevator would be complete but it wasn’t terrible at all. And no one was working during our stay so it was peaceful. Overall great stay!

Barcelona Batllo House
The property is situated in a wonderful location on the block of Batllo House, and close distance to public transportation, restaurants, cocktail bars, and shopping. Property was nicely furnished with comfortable beds, furniture, and very nice showers. Ongoing construction in the stairwell probably led to more dust in the property but it was very noticeable. Deep cleans between visitors until construction is complete is my recommendation. Checkin process was very smooth, and the property manager was present on arrival to explain the property, and available by contact during our stay. However, checkin instructions provided near arrival date explain extra chargers for late day and/or weekend arrivals. Not necessary a big issue but it was an added fee not explained at checkin on top of other fees already paid. Kitchen worked well but could use some oven pans, additional dish cloths, and a new set of knives and cutting boards. Overall, a very wonderful stay at this property in Barcelona. We had a family of 6 with grandparents and kids included.

Great Location & Beautiful Place
Our family loved the place and the location. It's on a nice tree lined street that leads right to the center of everything. In the immediate area there's the Casa Batllo, good shopping and a pastry shop on the street below that was awesome. They're putting the finishing touches on construction, so the elevator wasn't working, but the place itself was immaculate.

Great location!
Beautifully renovated apt w lots of space, clean and comfy beds. We were there on a weekend, building lobby and stairs under renovation. But there was no construction noise- 3rd floor with stairs bc elevator also under Reno. Seemed to have everything one would need. Would stay here again!

Beautiful, but beware
Read and trust the previous reviews! I did not. I assumed the construction would be over and the owner couldn't be that hard to get in touch with. My fault. Positives: it's a BEAUTIFUL space. We loved the apartment, the location, the courtyard/balconies. Negatives: we also fell prey to not being let in. I actually paid an entire extra day, so we could check in early. We were left sitting on the street and in a construction site (no exaggeration) for a couple of hours waiting for someone to show up- who was IN THE BUILDING the entire time. With 3 exhausted boys this was rough. VRBO finally reached someone and then assured me the owner would be available all week for anything else. Never heard from her again. The dryer in the apartment never worked. There are clear instructions, but they are just wrong. I reached out to the owner- never heard back. For a mom who prefers VRBO to hotels for the laundry, this was tough. I had to hang all of our clothes off the balcony and much of my trip became about laundry. Construction-WOW. The entry to the building was complete destruction; plywood and cement dust for floors. Jackhammers and yelling start at 8am every day. Is this a risk you take in a big/old city? Yes. Would this effect you if you were up and out to explore by 8am every day? Nope! But for a family with teens/kids, this was really tough. Barcelona is a night time city! So early wake ups on vacation with jetlag were rough. I cannot express enough how loud it is.

Beautiful house, amazing location.
We had a wonderful stay in Barcelona and this house was the perfect fit for our family of 6. It was very nice and comfortable. We really loved everything about it. The only downside was that they are renovating the building and the construction started about 8 in the morning and went on loudly all day. We would stay here again for sure, and most highly recommend it to anyone.

Gorgeous apartment
I'm giving our stay 5 stars despite a few issues because we absolutely loved this apartment. The main space is stunning, with a kitchen/dining area (kitchen not well-stocked with necessities like olive oil and sugar, so bring your own) opening onto a comfortable living room with a small balcony. The lovely primary bedroom opens onto the living area. It has curtained sliding glass doors (not the most private but okay for families). The two other bedrooms don't have windows, which isn't ideal, but the one with the king bed and private bath is luxurious anyway. The room with multiple twin mattresses (two on the hard side) was less comfortable but ok for kids. My only substantial complaint about this apartment is that there is major construction going on in the building, and I think this should be stated in the description of the property because if you stay on a weekday it will affect your experience. We were lucky to be staying over the Christmas holiday and only had to listen to the construction for one day, but that was quite enough. It was very loud and the stairwells were full of plaster dust. If we'd had to listen to the construction for the entirety of our stay I would have been really upset, but it was tolerable as it was. So I can very highly recommend this apartment for anyone coming on the weekend (when construction stops) and for those coming after construction is finished, which doesn't appear to be anytime soon. The hosts were friendly enough.
