Fraser coast christmas light displays media release 600x424

Council has been working hard to put together a trail of Christmas light displays across the region and the maps are now ready.

A record number of 155 homes and businesses have participated in the Light Up trail this year and 12 streets are in the running for Christmas Street.

“Thank you to all the houses participating in 2022,” Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said.

“The displays are brilliant.

“I’ve spent a couple of nights travelling around the displays as I judge Christmas Street and I’ve been amazed by the quality of the presentations.

“The range of ideas and lights is truly amazing.”

You can access the interactive map online at www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/festive or download a printable copy for your area.

The lights are being turned on between 6pm and 10pm daily.

On the maps, streets that have three or more houses on display are highlighted in green.

Maryborough streets include Kingfisher Drive, Carmen Close, Lawson Drive, Ellena Street and Gallipoli Street.

In Tiaro, cruise Mayne Street and in Hervey Bay, check out Frangipanni Avenue, Westminster Court, Pantlins Lane, Samphire Street, Ronaldo Way and the Sapphire Apartments.

Other noteworthy locations include displays where the Christmas light displays have been synchronised to music:

  • 87 Martin Street Point Vernon
  • 49 Panltins Lane Urraween
  • 51 Bayrise Drive Urangan

And as usual, 81 and 83 Murphy Street in Point Vernon also have fantastic displays that the whole family will enjoy.
