Some might think it was related to Smilodon but that isn't true - the saberteeth were actually a product of convergent evolution, meaning two very different animals share the same features, like fish and whales both have fins but they are completely different animals.
And the Gorgonopsids developed saberteeth waaaay earlier than Smilodons, even before the age of the dinosaurs!
I know less about these critters than most dinosaurs so it might have some scientific flaws. But fur is still speculative on them anyway, nonetheless reasonable and serious paleoartists depict them with at least a bit fur if not completely covered in it. I chose the middle way and left it furless on the underside.

I’m a very simple person, I see a Gorgonopsid I like. We always need more of these bad boys! Also nice looking art as well, I like the pose a lot.
