Looking to Master the Summer-to-Fall Style Transition? Get Inspired by Jamie Chung, Who Has It Down Pat!

If you haven't guessed by now, I'm kind of obsessed with Jamie Chung's signature brand of laid-back California-casual-meets-international street-style sophistication. The Once Upon a Time actress (Mulan!) always looks like she's effortless and relaxed but at the same time 100 percent polished and put-together. But more than that, she has the summer-to-fall style transition (one of the most challenging feats of any style-savvy woman!) down. How does she do it? Innate personal style, we guess—especially if her addictive Instagram and her hilariously named lifetsyle blog, WhatTheChung?, have anything to show for it. (Seriously, if I don't spontaneously combust in envy of all the amazing outfits Jamie wears, I will from her fabulous vacation destinations or the tasty food she's eating. And don't get half the office started on her dreamy fiancé Bryan Greenberg.) But all in all, I love her, and you seem to be fond of The Real World alum too (#neverforget). So let's raise a glass to Jamie Chung, our Glamour Style Icon of the Week. Here are some of my favorite of Jamie's casual-cool outfits (and it was really hard to narrow down). At a Reality Runway by Ali and Kris event last year, Jamie showed her

So let's raise a glass to Jamie Chung, our Glamour Style Icon of the Week. Here are some of my favorite of Jamie's casual-cool outfits (and it was really hard to narrow down).

*At a Reality Runway by Ali and Kris event last year, Jamie showed her style skills by rocking a contrast-printed and pyramid-studded moto jacket by BCBG Max Azria while keeping the rest of the look understated in white jeans, an Elvis T-shirt, and rose-gold barely there sandals. *

At this point, I should point out that Jamie has a pretty good selection of studded outerwear and a penchant for rocking a crop top. And why not if you look this good? During spring 2014 New York Fashion Week, the actress mixed textures by layering an embroidered motocross jacket over a sexy leather bralette and matching it all with a plush suede pencil skirt.

At a Cinema Society and Tommy Hilfiger movie screening, Jamie opted for mixed prints and textures: a chunky-knit wide-stripe sweater matched with a floral skirt. Her neutral-hue slashed booties and mirrored metallic oversize clutch made a statement while complementing the rest of the outfit

Another day, another stellar jacket. At the Marc Jacobs Daisy Chain Tweet Pop Up Shop party, Jamie paired a striped and floral cropped blazer with sleek vegan leather pants by Paloma. As usual, her accessories were on point—edgy T-strap heels and a chic leather duffel.

At the Marchesa bridal show, Jamie showed her slightly dressier side in, yes, another really good blazer. This time, she opted for color—a lipstick red collarless blazer by Reese + Riley—worn with a strappy cami top by Cameo the Label and super-chic caged skirt by Elizabeth and James. And her shoes...I die.

What I would give to get borrowing rights to Jamie's coat closet. At the Only Lovers Left Alive screening, she wore what might be my favorite look so far: a floral-paneled studded beige moto jacket by—you guessed it—BCBG and a white crop top and skirt set by Zara. Her suede T-strap sandals and repeat metallic clutch effortlessly finish off the edgy-chic look.

At the Birchbox shop opening in New York City, Jamie walked the fine line between cocktail chic and downtown edgy with this leather-piped, contrast-paneled, and cutout dress by Three Floor—subtly accessorized by the celeb-loved Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, of course.
