And, somehow, that’s not even all.

Taylor Swift is finally sharing her secret to how she prepared for the Eras Tour, and safe to say, us mere mortals could never.

Swift gave an interview to Time magazine after being named their 2023 Person of the Year, in which she discusses her crazy last year, which saw her become essentially, as the magazine puts it, “the main character of the world.”

And she’s finally detailing how exactly she has the stamina to perform her Eras Tour shows multiple nights a week. The shows run for more than three hours and see Swift dancing and singing through every album in her discography. Her training regimen was, not surprisingly, intense.

“Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud,” she told the magazine. “Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs.”

Okay, yeah, casual. Swift also name-dropped the gym she used to train, Dogpound in New York City, whose trainers, she said, made a personal training plan for her consisting of “strength, conditioning and weights.” She also trained for three months in dance, noting, “learning choreography is not my strong suit.”

She did all this, she said, so the show could be second nature for her, and she could enjoy the experience. “I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans and not lose my train of thought,” she said.

Oh, and she has given up alcohol for the duration for the tour (except for the Grammys, which, we’ll give to her). “Doing that show with a hangover,” she said. “I don’t want to know that world.”

Don’t worry, though, Swift does take some time to, as the TikTokers say, bed rot, for at least one day after each run of shows. “I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she said. “It’s a dream scenario. I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels.”

All of this, she said, is for the fans. After all, they worked hard to get those tickets.

“I wanted to play a show that was longer than they ever thought it would be, because that makes me feel good leaving the stadium,” she said.

Taylor Swift, we are not worthy!
