Supermodel Lara Stone has revealed she lost a lot of jobs when she was pregnant. Yep, unlike models like Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Doutzen Kroes, who worked during their pregnancy, Lara (who, by the way, has never looked anything but gorgeous), has discussed the discrimination she faced when she turned up to a shoot three months pregnant.

Lara, who was "in maternity jeans from 11 weeks", was turned away from the job on the spot and told she was no longer needed, because the client thought she had gained too much weight.

"I was really upset at the time," she said, in an interview with PORTER magazine. "I hadn't yet had my three-month scan and I felt really vulnerable about everything. I no longer had a job. That was it - I had to just stop everything that I knew; the way my life was."

Stone also revealed that since she had her son Alfred, in May 2013, she has faced even more scrutiny when booking jobs:

"I've had a few meetings because when they hear pregnancy they freak out a bit," she added, "so they need to see if I fit in their clothes."

Luckily the treatment she faced in the industry hasn't dented Lara's body confidence - she said after her having her baby she went the opposite way, and didn't really think about staying in shape:

"Once the baby was out I was like, 'What the hell is going on?' My arms don't fit into my sweaters. I couldn't get my jeans over my knees. I couldn't find a bra that fitted me. I had body dysmorphia but the wrong way round".

Now, she tries to stay fit and healthy by training with celebrity fitness guru, Bodyism's James Duigan (he also trained Elle Macpherson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), and lives a happy and relaxed life with husband David Walliams and their son in North London.
