The impressive beard Will Forte grew out for his show, Last Man on Earth, has been the source of much entertainment over the last year or so. Forte wrote a sad and beautiful song about it, for one, and later had it tested for poop. As far as big, unruly, crazy beards go, it actually suited Forte—especially when he had an opportunity to balance things out with a nice-looking suit. And that's saying something, considering how many epic beards vied for our attention in 2015, both onscreen and off.
Alas, this weekend marks the passing of Forte’s great beard—or, half of it. At Fox’s 2016 Winter TCA Tour All-Star Party Forte showed up partially shaved in the most exact and ridiculous way. Last month the actor hinted at the stunt to Entertainment Weekly saying, “There is one thing that I have been so excited about and it is going to be the dumbest-looking thing you have ever seen.” So, yep, mission accomplished.
The next time you’re feeling awkward about a bad haircut maybe just be thankful you don’t have to grow an eyebrow back.
