I'm cool with the light switch as a user.....I was just taken aback by the bimetallic strip/ignition points looking gizmos on either side.
Maybe they are there rather than fuses??!!
Definitely some room for improvement on the wiring safety side
I see my future .......... under the dash :silly:

Yep, they is circuit breakers. The one on my Dad's Stude Lark used to trip every time you went over 55 mph with high beam on........(the voltage reg was set too high)

I just finished doing the wiring from scratch on my hot rod (52 Ford F1), but had to change course to get this Dodge up and running to be my new company delivery truck!@! :woohoo:
It's such a different job between doing an all out hot rod job, replacing brand new bits with others that have more chrome, compared to the functional rebuild I'm doing now for the Dodge everyday workhorse.......which I guess was always the real attraction of these Aussie-built beasts of burden, built just 10 kms down the road from where I'm sitting now.

Diagnosed wisely as a stuck gearbox......
I left it with them to do the brakes anyway.....
I went to the wrecking yard planning to wrestle a NP435 out of one of the trucks there, single handed, no jacks allowed...... :silly: ....
At the wrecking yard they had a very clean XF ute.....for cheap.....I own it now......and it's a ripper....
This left me with time to wait for a good solution for the poor old Dodge.
In true lemonade from sour apples fashion, a Dodge AT4 318 with NP540 gearbox popped up on gumtree today, and only 100kays away from home.
I just got back, heavy bloody 318 and box in the back of the ute, and a couple of Mopar savvy mates are gonna help me do a one day engine swap in the coming week or two.
Yeeeee Haaaarrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:   :woohoo:
