Rose Byrne has become the most in-demand supporting actress for comedies.
Following turns in Bridesmaids, Get Him to the Greek and the May release Neighbors, the Damages alum is being courted to reteam with Neighbors‘ producers (Seth Rogen‘s Point Grey Pictures, Good Universe) and studio (Universal) for The Something, about astronauts who get lost in space, with former Late Show With David Letterman head writer Rodney Rothman directing.

Byrne, 34, earned two Emmy nominations for her drama work on the FX legal thriller and tops TV wish lists every pilot season. But after beating out several other actresses for Neighbors, which has earned more than $200 million worldwide, she also is high on movie comedy lists.
The CAA-repped Aussie is being eyed by Something‘s producers to play a love interest who has “an approachable beauty, though she hates being approached.”
