Ladies who lunch just took on a whole new meaning, because Kristen Stewart and Salma Hayek just raised the bar for female friendships everywhere. The two actresses threw a luncheon for their pal Penélope Cruz to celebrate her work in the upcoming film Ferrari, which hits theaters on Dec. 25.

On Thursday, Stewart and Hayek showered Cruz with a star-studded daytime event at the Mandarin Oriental Residences Beverly Hills. K.Stew wore one of her go-to materials of choice: tweed. She paired textured navy, teal, and red plaid high-waisted trousers with a floral sequin tank top comprised of shades of blue, blush pink, green and red. Stewart kept her accessories to a minimum, save for two teal and white dice rings and her diamond engagement ring.

Stewart's hair was styled in a funky updo that left out her side bangs, and she opted for a clean glam look that included dark eyeliner and a peach lip.

Hayek chose an asymmetric brown leather maxidress, which she styled with platform snakeskin peep-toe heels, For her part, the woman of the hour opted for a white dress layered under a matching tweed coat dress with silver buttons. She wore white sheer striped stockings and black-and-white slingback heels.

Other attendees who showed up to support Cruz at the event included Alicia Silverstone, Eiza Gonzalez, Patricia Arquette, Vin Diesel, and more. At one point, Stewart posed alongside Silverstone, who looked sophisticated in a black leather maxiskirt and pointed-toe pumps

Although the film technically hasn't debuted yet, Cruz has lots to celebrate, because she already snagged a Gotham Awards nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Performance category. The film, however, was snubbed elsewhere and did not receive any Golden Globe nominations.
