Whether you’re retiring from the NSWPF after 43 years service like Detective Senior Sergeant Ros Keys did today, or you’ve recently retired after 25 years like Denise Harrington, or you’re just a few years in like some of the officers we met at Yass, Binalong and Boorowa Police Stations this week - your service matters and it counts. Huge thanks to all NSWPF employees who participated in the Royal Easter Show (some of whom volunteered their time), your commitment to community policing and keeping everyone safe is very much appreciated. 💙 #connectedcommunity #connectedworkforce

Today, Commissioner Karen Webb APM alongside Premier Chris Minns, The Hon Yasmin Catley MP, Minister for Police and Counter Terrorism, and Kevin Morton, President of the PANSW announced that NSWPF will start paying our recruits. This is a significant development for the NSWPF that enables us to provide greater incentive to become a police officer and remain competitive in recruitment. Commissioner Webb said today, ‘now is the time to join the New South Wales Police Force’ and I know this announcement is at the very heart of everything she believes in for our organisation, for the people in it, and for those to come. This has been on her mind for a long time and I’m delighted that she has been able to work with our stakeholders and NSW Government to make it happen. Today is a day where people will make the decision to become a police officer in NSW and impact future generations - we say to them, ‘just do it, you won’t regret it’. #youshouldbeacop 🚓
