Hyundai's in wheel drive motors is a design they are testing that shows some promise in allowing their electric vehicles to have some major performance and drive abilities. It allows the wheels to turn further up to as much as 90 degrees which allows for increased maneuverability. All wheel steering is not new but to have it in mass production with the increased steering capabilities may be a very common new thing we may see in the industry. This system could allow for the possibility of lateral movement or even 180 degree turns. The new system will have all driver input controlled by wire including brakes and steering. This will be a new thing to learn as repairs become necessary on these systems in the future. It will be interesting to see how these systems hold up and what they do as they wear. There may be techniques and tests to diagnose and maintain these systems. I am interested to see how they perform for consumer preferences and use. How could this system change what we expect from AWD systems? References · https://lnkd.in/gtGEw-Ty · https://lnkd.in/ghVAdQMF

Machinery Valuation Many times have I seen models changed for the year of manufacture !! Taking for example car makers Ford Nissan who produce many models of vehicles over a yearly period which have different features per model. Machinery is the same. Several manufacturers produce a model to suit the target country (Air-Conditioned Controls) Same model different features. It's about time the valuation profession agreed on the description narrative suitable for enabling a clear indication of value for similar assets .
