Book Review Fail Big

Book Review Fail Big

I have as promised to myself decided to put out a synopsis and my review of books I have been reading. So here we go again - In the book, Fail Big, Allan Scott argues that failure is essential for success. He writes that the fear of failure is what holds most people back from achieving their goals and that we need to change our perspective on failure in order to reach our full potential.

Scott begins by defining failure as "a result that does not meet expectations." He argues that failure is a natural part of life and that everyone eventually fails. He also points out that failure can be a valuable learning experience, and we can learn more from our failures than our successes.

Scott then goes on to discuss the benefits of failing big. He writes that failing big can help us to:

  • Identify our weaknesses and areas for improvement

  • Become more resilient and bounce back from setbacks

  • Develop a thicker skin and become less sensitive to criticism

  • Learn to take risks and step outside of our comfort zones

  • Become more creative and innovative

Scott also provides a number of tips for dealing with failure in a healthy way. He advises readers to:

  • Avoid taking failure personally

  • Learn from their mistakes and move on

  • Surround themselves with positive and supportive people

  • Celebrate their successes, no matter how small

Overall, Fail Big is a well-written and informative book that provides a refreshing perspective on failure.

Scott's message is clear: failure is not something to be feared but rather embraced as an opportunity to learn and grow.
