Future of Air power and space capabilities and how iaf and naval aviation should be future ready by 2050-2100

Airpower and aerial warfare has always been topic of my interest and passion in my life, I as student have been interested about our iaf and also i had come to a point where i would join in iaf and wanted to serve my nation by technological expertise and future opportunity, But decision for that kept in real time silence although my interest towards remained like a " bird in jungle". Today my article will be based on my learned and knowledge based information and any suggestions can be provided by experts and armed forces personal for my improvement of my information.

If we just look back at world involving in wars right from ww1 to modern 21st century ,Man kind prepared and innovated a branch called airforce where traditional bi planes used to drop bombs where air defense guns were no where intercepted and shoot down those planes in that feet. later improvements in tactics, Aerodynamics, air defense proved that there is solution to counter them, Later at the end of ww2 mankind first jet engine aircraft came up and really it terrified allied air power because there is no match in terms of speed, agility ,maneuverability ,it was none other than me 262 of nazi germany.

As we progressed in aircraft technologies from 1st generation ,There were lot of improvements in aircrafts technical expectations and new generations of fighter jets were developed ranging from 2nd to 4.5 gen till date. But from next paragraph i will be writing about how and why iaf should be battle ready for next 50-100 years.

AT present iaf operates various aircrafts like russian su-30 mki, Dassualt rafale, Hal Tejas mk1,Mirage 2000,Mig 29 upg and Jaguars .These aircrafts always has been iaf " lovely chocolates " for years as they proved their capabilities in recent conflicts. But as technological level increasing, china rise as global power, Recent incidents and take aways from russia -ukraine war, lack of industrial might and replacement ,Iaf aircrafts like jaguar,mig21 is now almost obsolete ,They might been upgraded but they will not be that level within next 10 years ,even Mig 29 and mirages will be on brink of retirement from 2035. looking at requirements of iaf in order to face 2 front war ,iaf requested and adviced to the government for the need of 42 squadrons,These may not be achieved by 2035-40 but there is strong possibility by 2045-50 we may have 42 squadron strength by the time. Iaf will induct tejas mk1a,super sukhoi's, Tejas mk2,Hal Amca mk1 and mk2 ,Ghatak ucav and cats program.

from 2050-2060 the future of iaf will be on the era of 6 th gen fighters like amca mk3 or new program which can be taken for talks, low-high esteem bombers, Supersonic-hypersonic ucavs for air defense role for the fighter jets, scramjet powered Ai in built bvr missiles which can be smart and long range, laser or dew weapon pods for wwr or self defense suit, hyperspectral technologies, swarm self defense decoys to protect bombers and aircrafts,c5istar or c6r platforms ,quantum stealth and space force development.

These might be too expensive and may not be a reality but we need to remember that indian economy,ambitions,armed forces responsibilities , industrial and emergence of innovation and enemy thread will decide what and how we should use them. As a student my ideas can also be future part of iaf development to become best airforces in innovation and skill set.Keeping enemies and obstacles we need to start work on these future tech as soon as possible without delays .

Please remember that iaf should start phasing out 4 th gen and 4,5 gen from 2055 and it should be replaced with new fighter aircrafts and technology, My kind advice would be let iaf, academia, startups, pvt and psu start intial works on 6 th gen fighter amca mk3 and other technologies soon as possible. If indian amred focrces and country wants to dominate the world in military ,secure battlefeilds and country soverginity we should start our works on these areas .
