With Manchester home to two of the most renowned football teams in the world, it is no surprise that some of the wealthiest footballer players choose to reside in our region. Over the years, many affluent areas in the boroughs of Trafford, Stockport and Salford have been home to some pretty big Premiere League footballers including Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Phil Foden.
The 'Golden Triangle' in Cheshire, which is also dubbed the 'footballer belt', has also been known to attract some top players in recent years, who've lived in the likes of Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury.
With the summer transfer window well underway, players transferring to Manchester United or Manchester City may now be looking to snap up a mansion ahead of the new season - and there are plenty of plush homes to go around.

As expected, these footballer-worthy homes are nothing of the ordinary - boasting their own swimming pools, sprawling gardens, lavish kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and bedrooms.
Estate agents Gascoigne Halman, which has grown to be the leading estate agent across Cheshire and south Manchester, often deal with high profile footballers at the end of every season to help them find a new home.
