Caitlin Clark's NCAA career is over. As bittersweet that may be to Iowa fans, all fans can still watch her begin her WNBA career in just a short period of time.
Clark was introduced officially as an Indiana Fever player on Wednesday, with her first press conference for the team taking place. You would expect Clark to get all types of questions, but one specific reporter seemed to cross the line.
Caitlin Clark asked weird question by reporter
Gregg Doyel of the Indianapolis Star was the culprit that made the press conference turn awkward. He made a heart signal with his hands to mimic the gesture Clark uses from time to time on the court.
Clark mentions that she does it for her family after every game, and Doyel responds by saying "start doing it to me and we'll get along just fine".
Many found the interaction very weird. Doyel may have just been trying to make a joke, but it came across in a bad way.
Clark smiled it off and continued to listen to the following question, but she looked a bit stunned by what had transpired. Not the best start for the Indiana media.
