Mr. Doodle Untitled is a chaotic and spirited work that engages the viewer in the nostalgia of childhood doodles. Smiling faces peer through the veil, quirky figures dancing across the page. The intricately interwoven chaos of Mr. Doodle’s signature imagery is sometimes referred to as “graffiti spaghetti”; a cacophony of child-like faces glancing across the canvas with winding, fluid movements as they engage with one another in the tightly packed space. Simplistic, bold black lines are used to delineate each individual, whimsical character. Using geometric shapes to fill in the negative space between each cartoon-like doodle, he leaves no space untouched with his unique brand of imagery.

In an interview with NBC News, Mr. Doodle casually stated, “When I was young, maybe about 16 years old, I realized that doodling was just kind of taking over my life. … I started drawing on my parents’ furniture and everything around me. I wanted my doodles to take over everything,” he said. “So I just became obsessed with it in the best way possible. And it’s been like a happy obsession ever since really.”
