Iain Dowie has gone full David Brent with his latest job.

The 59-cap former Northern Ireland striker played for six league clubs and has managed six teams in his managerial career - but is now forging a new career away from the beautiful game.

Dowie, 51, is now the regional sales manager for Go To Surveys, as uncovered by the Coventry Telegraph.

According to its website the company "undertake homebuyers reports, building surveys and valuations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland".

His personal description on the site states: "Having experienced the excitement of playing international football and managing at a high level Iain is equally excited to be joining the innovative and dynamic GOTO group.'

He played for a lot of clubs but was best remembered for stints at Southampton and West Ham. He then went on to manage at Oldham Athletic, Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic, and Coventry.

Dowie has been out of work since 2010 when he spent three months as 'Football Management Consultant' at Hull City but was unable to prevent their relegation to the Championship.

Before undertaking his football career that spanned three decades Dowie earned a Masters in Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.

He worked with British Aerospace while launching his playing career at non-league level before being spotted by Luton Town.
