Robbie Williams Docuseries: Go Behind the Scenes with the UK Popstar - Netflix Tudum
- Farrell Music Ltd./Leo BaronThe new doc includes 30 years of behind-the-scenes footage of one of the UK’s most successful artists.By Amanda RichardsNov. 10, 2023
The first time you see Robbie Williams in the teaser for his four-part documentary series, he’s backstage, presumably where he’s spent countless hours of his career. “Are you ready?” someone asks off-screen. “Nah,” Williams replies. “I really wish I did something else for a living.”
Of course, the artist has spent over two decades with just one job — one that’s led him to become the most successful UK recording artist of all time. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his solo career, Robbie Williams is the definitive story of his rise to fame and stardom — which began when he was just 16 years old. Soon, he says, he became the “center of the pop culture world,” with all the ups, downs, and tabloid fodder that come along with it. The series features hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archival footage, and intimate access to Williams himself — who discusses his journey through fame and what life’s like on the other side of recovery.
Robbie Williams is from Ridley Scott Associates and director Joe Pearlman (Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now) and executive produced by Asif Kapadia (AMY), and premieres Nov. 8.
