Here lies Vina! Vina Morales joins the cast of Here Lies Love on Broadway this autumn, playing a limited engagement from September 22 to October 22 at the Broadway Theatre.

Morales is an actress and musician who has starred in more than 40 soap operas and movies in the Philippines. She has also released 14 albums and performed worldwide, becoming the first Filipino to perform in the NY Music Festival.

Here Lies Love marks Morales's Broadway debut. She joins the all-Filipino cast of the musical as Aurora Aquino. Current cast member Lea Salonga plays her final performance in the role on August 19, and Reanne Acasio will play Aurora in the interim.

The principal Here Lies Love Broadway cast also includes Arielle Jacobs as Imelda Marcos, Jose Llana as Ferdinand Marcos, and Conrad Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino.

The musical, conceived by David Byrne and featuring music by Byrne and Fatboy Slim, charts the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos in power in the Philippines, beginning with her marriage to Ferdinand Marcos and ending with the People Power Revolution that ended the couple's martial law regime. The disco-pop show is told in an immersive format, with the Broadway Theatre transformed into a nightclub as a nod to Imelda Marcos's interest in disco.
