Identical twin sisters Brittany and Briana Salyers explain their unique living arrangements with their husbands on Extreme Sisters

Moving into your first home is a milestone that's special for any newly married couple, but for identical twins Brittany and Briana and Jeremy and Josh it's something they embarked on as a 'foursome'.

Both sets of twins do everything together. They got engaged together and got married in a joint wedding – Briana married Jeremy and Brittany married Josh. Together they all live under one roof as part of what they call a "quaternary marriage".

In an episode of Extreme Sisters – which you can watch for free on 9Now – Brittany and Briana explain their unique living situation and design their "dream wardrobe".

You can get a glimpse of what their life is like by watching the video above.

As part of their lifestyle, both sets of twins wear identical outfits everyday which means getting dressed in the mornings is a joint activity.

Currently the wardrobe is an open space for everyone, creating some awkward situations when the twin-in-laws run into each other.

"There's always someone that shouldn't be there, it's awkward," Briana and Brittany giggled.

To solve this privacy issue, they planned to design a girls' wardrobe and a boys' wardrobe.

When asked why each married couple wouldn't have their own wardrobe instead, Brittany and Briana explained that it would allow them to have more "sister time".

"We get time together, you get spouse time and they [Jeremy and Josh] get twin brother time," they said in unison.

"Plus it's just more fun this way."

Brittany and Briana know that their way of life confuses some people.

"We do know that when we go out into the world, we're viewed like we're strange, quite literally freaks of nature," Brittany admitted.

But they don't mind what other people think and insist the arrangement works for them and their husbands.

"The reason while we're in this quaternary marriage and why we all live together under one roof is so that we can continue to be together, all four of us," the sisters tell cameras.

"We enjoy it being the four of us, so do Josh and Jeremy so we're just all better together.
