The longest goodbye in network TV news is over — Ann Curry has finally cut ties with NBC.

The veteran newswoman is expected to leave the network, effective immediately, after being sidelined for years following her teary exit from as co-host of “Today,” sources tell The News.

Despite filing only a handful of reports, including high-profile sit-down interviews with Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, and Brad Pitt, Curry has been collecting a whopping $12 million a year.

Curry is expected to create her own production company focusing on documentaries and NBC sources said she will retain a relationship with the network news division.

Curry’s new business model will be based on Soledad O’Brien, the former CNN anchor who owns her own company and sells documentaries to outlets as wide-reaching as HBO, Al Jazeera and CNN.

A high-ranking source at NBC confirmed Curry’s departure.
