This Factory Five ‘33 Ford Hot Rod, known as "Diablo", was built by Top Fuel Garage in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, one of the premier custom car builders in the country. Starting out with a Factory Five full-fendered hardtop coupe kit, this example was finished in Electric Gold, received a custom black leather upholstered interior, and was equipped with a 5.0L Ford Coyote V8 along with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, Wilwood brakes, and much more. It has recently completed a national show tour, earning first or second place in four out of the five events. Having traveled just 10 miles since the completion of its build, this award-winning Factory Five Hot Rod is now being offered by its seller out of Wisconsin.

The body is finished in Electric Gold with a paint-matching hardtop, full fenders, chrome bullet mirrors and grille, suicide doors, dual side mirrors, custom Brand Wine painted Wilwood brake calipers to match the roll bar, and a removable hood with a cut out for the Boss 302 intake. The tubular racing frame is also finished in Brandy Wine while the full undercarriage has been painstakingly painted and chromed.

The cockpit has been reupholstered in black leather, with low-backed bucket seats featuring Simpson racing harnesses, in addition to an upholstered headliner with red diamond stitching, a matching center console and “waterfall”, and a paint-matched dashboard with custom Diablo instruments. Amenities include a Vintage Air air conditioning system, power windows, and keyless remote locks with spring-assisted "poppers" for the trunk lid as well.

The 5.0L Ford Coyote V8 features a Boss 302 intake system and is paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission that delivers an estimated output of over 450 HP to the rear wheels. The custom build also included a three-link suspension with Koni shocks, Wilwood 6-piston brake calipers, a custom aluminum fuel tank, and electric power steering.

This sale will include a clean title.

@Ecp2p14 I will do my best. The vehicle is two hours away from me. Please know that one of the qualifications for placing in any car show is that it must run. The motor is a new Coyote. It screams!!!!!!!

Hello, would you happen to have any videos Cold Start and Walk around?

  • MGAsale1960- (seller) 2 yearsago

@baderink The car is titled and registered in the state of WI as a 1933 ford replica.

@seller can you comment as how this vehicle is actually registered? Year, Make, Model? Does it have a Ford provided VIN or a State Provided VIN tag?

  • MGAsale1960- (seller) 2 yearsago

Short answer is "I do not know" . It is registered in Wisconsin as "Hobbiest" and therefore is exempt. I think you ought to check with your state DMV and see if the same exemptions extend to you in CA. My guess is that it will. The car and drive train are insane. It is truly a show stopper.

  • INOV8 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Any idea if this can be registered in CA? Is it smog exempt?
