About Anne - 10 Week Old Chihuahua (Trial)
Anne (AKA Annie) is a gorgeous, happy, playful little pocket rocket and is looking for a family that will shower her with love. Don’t be deceived by her size; she is big in personality with a sweet touch of sass.
Anne is living with a doting foster mum, dad, teenage brothers and small doggy sister, and is also quite curious of the family pet rabbit. She is quickly learning her name and basic commands, and is doing amazingly well with her toilet training.
Anne loves playtime, toys and lots of cuddles. She is getting used to her new harness and lead around the garden and will be ready for short walks once fully vaccinated. Her new family will need to be committed to her ongoing training, enrichment and socialisation.
Being a chihuahua, she is tiny but speedy. Slow, shuffle walking by humans is highly recommended! A secure home environment is a must, ensuring a safe backyard where she can’t squeeze through any gaps. Her family have been using a puppy fence in the backyard while she is so little, which is working a treat.
Being teeny, Anne is currently having small portioned meals 4 x times a day and is thriving on a fresh food and high quality puppy kibble diet. She has settled beautifully at night, sleeping safe and cozy in a puppy crate. She does need a brief toileting in the early morning but resettles without a fuss.
Anne’s ideal forever home:
* Puppy parents that are home more often than not, especially while she is so young
* Another small doggy friend who can be a puppy mentor and playmate
* Older children who are calm and gentle
* Must have safe, secure fencing with no gaps
* Commitment to desexing at a DRN approved vet at 6 months, and puppy training classes to give Anne the best start to family and doggy life
* Experience with Chihuahua breed a bonus
Anne’s adoption fee is $1000 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She will require a third vaccination at the owners expense. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Anne is in foster care in Wahroonga, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she’s 6 months old.
