In OpenJDK Java benchmarks, the Linux distributions generally led but DragonFlyBSD 6.0.1 did mange to compete surprisingly well and mostly on-par with the Linux distros running on this Intel Core i9 10980XE workstation.

When measuring the Zstd compression performance using the zstd implementation shipped by each operating system, Intel's Clear Linux was generally delivering the best performance with Zstd being one of the areas they have optimized. The BSDs were tending to lag behind Linux in their Zstd performance.
