Kooka and Willy - This Willy Wagtail wants Kooka to leave because he has a nest nearby with 3 eggs in it. Kooka looks unimpressed. It's a bit 'David and Goliath'. Willy did this over and over for about 3 minutes before the Kookaburra got sick of it and flew off. Toys, Nature, Eggs, Aussie, Critter, Sick

Willie Wagtail Bird by Kaye Menner by Kaye Menner
The Willie (or Willy) Wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys) is a bird native to Australia, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Bismarck Archipelago, and eastern Indonesia. Its common name is derived from its habit of wagging its tail horizontally when foraging on the ground. Aggressive and territorial, the Willie Wagtail will often harass much larger birds such as the Kookaburra and Wedge-tailed Eagle. It has responded well to human alteration of the landscape and is a common sight in urban areas. Urban, Indonesia, Archipelago, Eagle

Willie Wagtail -- Do you know how amazing Willie Wag-tails are? They will play with each other and play with you, flirt and flit around your yard and sing to you if they like you. They dance for each other, they even tease your cat if they think they can get away with it. If they become familiar with your routine they'll come see you off when you leave for work and welcome you back. Willie Wag-tails are the sweetest, cheekiest little birds!
