Alfa 169 or gt coupe?
Discussion
I had a 1.9 GT:
And when baby came, px'd it for one of these (1.9d):
In short, I miss the GT. Surprising practical, as the boot is big, and easy to access. But 2 doors made it tricky with a baby seat.
GT felt much quicker (as it's lighter), but not as well screwed together. 159 is a whole different league of refinement, but feels sluggish compared to the GT, which I knew it would. 159 is a nicer place to sit, but you just feel more special in the GT. Maybe it's the way it closes around you, plus I love pillarless doors.
Lots less to go wrong on the GT - no DPF etc.
GT is much better looking, if you have the 18s, too.
GT is more 'crashy' to drive, with a feeble suspension. Stereo is crap, too.
If it wasn't for kids, I would have kept the GT.
GT much cheaper, too. Get it remapped with the spare change.
