The Arkana is the brand's second most popular model so far in 2023 with 1288 deliveries, according to VFACTS data. The larger Renault Koleos SUV outsells the Arkana, with 2605 deliveries to date.
The Arkana shares its underpinnings with its alliance partner, the Nissan Juke, and the smaller Captur. It rivals the Mazda CX-30, MG ZS and Volkswagen T-Roc.
Renault announced earlier this year an for the Arkana in Europe, which includes three new trim levels and electrified powertrain options.
"Renault Australia plans to introduce the facelifted Arkana during 2024 – final launch dates, pricing and specification to be confirmed, but likely three trim levels and choice of petrol or full hybrid engines," a spokesperson from Renault Australia told CarExpert.
"We will confirm further details in due course."
If the updated Arkana comes to Australia this could be the brand's first mild hybrid or hybrid model.

Drivetrains
The 2024 Renault Arkana is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol with 115kW of power and 262Nm of torque.
It's front-wheel drive and has a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 0-100km/h sprint takes a claimed 9.1 seconds.
Efficiency
Claimed fuel economy for the Arkana is 6.0L/100km on the combined cycle.
It has a 50L fuel tank and runs on 91 RON regular unleaded fuel.
Dimensions
The 2024 Renault Arkana measures up at 4568mm long, 1821mm wide and 1571mm tall, riding on a 2720mm wheelbase.
That makes it 341mm longer than the related Captur, on an 81mm longer wheelbase.
Claimed boot space is 353L with the rear seats in place and the boot floor in its highest position, 485L with the floor lowered, and 1268L with the rear seats folded.
Kerb weights range from 1354kg to 1362kg depending on spec.
Servicing and Warranty
The 2024 Arkana is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Maintenance is required every 12 months or 30,000km, and there's capped-price servicing for five years.
Four of its first five services are priced at $399, and one is priced at $789.
Safety
The Renault Arkana has a five-star ANCAP safety rating, based on Euro NCAP testing carried out in 2019 on the Captur.
It scored 96 per cent for adult occupant protection, 83 per cent for child occupant protection, 75 per cent for vulnerable road user protection, and 74 per cent for safety assist.
