Cerebratulus marginatus
Aka a Ribbon worm. Cerebratulus marginatus can reach a length of a meter. This one was making use of an old tube created by a Calcareous Tube Worm where much of its body was knotted up in. These are predators and feed on invertebrates such as clams and polychaete worms. Here is a video of it approaching a Calcareous Tube Worm. The tube worm appears to have a protective partner - making the ribbon worm retract.:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZrmO5GsLQU
Spotted under a rock in a tide pool at low tide at Tongue Point Marine Sanctuary.
