There's a slew of moms on Instagram who are indeed very crafty, and they're going so far to make art out of their kids' umbilical cords.

Here are some artistic highlights collected from Instagram. Turns out — if you've got the stomach for it — you can do a lot with these cords.

You can make jewelry and wear the umbilical cord.

You can make a dreamcatcher out of the cord.

You can twist the cord into a heart, because love.

Or you can just write the word 'love.'

Getting crafty with placenta isn't entirely new. Earlier this year, Emma Jean Photography went viral when she took a photo of a baby's umbilical cord styled into the word 'love.'

And then there's Little Cord Art, which has been in business since 2012 and came into ideation in 2009. The company will make a keepsake out of an umbilical cord for you, in case you're not be a DIY kind of woman.

Should you craft your children's umbilical cords into beautiful bespoke crafts and post it on the Internet, be warned: it's a polarizing item. Though some Instagram commenters call it "beautiful and "love" it, not everyone's on board.
