£149.00

BBC Micro Model B with SD Card Fully Refurbished.

Fully tested and working.

The BBC Microcomputer is a classic 80’s 8 bit computer. This particular example originates from Thomas Rotherham College hence the security markings on the case which adds to its charm. The BBC Micro became a cornerstone of computing in British education in the 1980s and could be found in nearly every school and college in the country. It originally retailed for £399 so it was an attractive item for thieves and therefore it became common practice to discourage theft and resale by marking the case with name of the school or college. See photos

This computer is fully renovated and lovingly restored with replacement capacitors for the PSU and motherboard. The logic chips are replaced where necessary and solder joints checked and resoldered. Rest assured this classic has a new lease of life.

The renovation story is available here

A reset button is installed at the rear of the computer which as originally intended by the Acorn designers as connection points are marked on the motherboard. This can easily be removed to return the computer to its original purist condition.

3D printed covers are provided for the eprom port left of the keyboard and for the standard Econet port hole at the rear.

Comes fitted with custom made MMFS SD Card interface which is plugged into the user port and contains hundreds of games and utilities and operates similar to a hard drive.

The clear plastic cover has a crack and the black keyboard border has some scratches and marks but this doesn’t affect use of the computer. See photos
