Jason Lewis' Smith may have parted ways with Kim Cattrall's Samantha in Sex and the City but is hinting that the character will return for the sequel.

According to OK Magazine when asked if he is returning for 'Sex and the City: The Movie 2' he said: "[There's] a good chance, yeah."

Reacting to the news that co-star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are expecting surrogate twin daughters, he said:"Congratulations! That's awesome.

"She's a really neat lady. She's obviously prolific in what she's done, she's successful but when she brought the kid to the set, mom would come on.

"She's very sweet with children; you can see that joy and innocence come out of her."

'Sex And The City 2' is due for release in May 2010 and all four main cast members, as well as Chris Noth (Mr Big), David Eigenberg (Steve Brady) and Evan Handler (Harry Goldenblatt) have confirmed that they will be returning.
