Remember when some Filipino graphic artists got extra competitive and sparked a Lucky Me! Pancit Canton redesign challenge on social media back in 2020? It was really cool to see how creative these artists could get, from their minimalist takes of the iconic pancit canton’s packaging to truly out-of-the-box concepts like a cup with a straw to sip the noodles from.
This year, a new Lucky Me! Pancit Canton packaging has emerged — and this time, it’s real! Yes, your fave pancit canton just got an actual design upgrade and we’re all for it! Here's everything you need to know:
What changed in the Lucky Me! Pancit Canton redesign:
The image of the pancit canton
In the old version, only half a plate of pancit canton is displayed in the packaging. Someone must have realized that it’s better to show the whole thing because, in this new version, you can see the entire plate of noodles in all its mouthwatering glory.
The label typeface and graphics
The old version was straightforward — it showed the “Pancit Canton” label in red-black gradient, boxy letters and not much else. This new version feels fun and current, with its eye-catching white label and funky, graphic elements that hint at the variant’s flavor, such as garlic cloves, calamansi halves, and chili peppers.
The brand's logo
Yup, even the logo appears to have been updated. It now has a white outline, softer edges, and separated smoke columns. The brand name also appears in a pretty, cursive typeface!
What remains the same:
Thinner noodles
No confusion here. The new design also keeps the OG thin noodles of the Lucky Me! Pancit Canton!
The size of the packaging
The amount of pancit canton you’re getting per package is still the same. So, don’t worry, you’re still getting your fill of your beloved noodles every time you open a pack.
