Exploring Stockholm's Old Town: A Welcome Walk for New Students

On Tuesday, September 2nd, a guided walk was organized through Stockholm's Old Town to welcome all new students in the Master's program for Education with International and Comparative Specialization.

The picturesque island of Gamla Stan served as our backdrop, where we delved into the rich history of Stockholm. The tour followed a chronological order, beginning with the city's founding in 1252 and culminating in one of Sweden's pivotal historical events, the Stockholm bloodbath in 1520. We were delighted to have some students from last year's cohort join us for this insightful journey.

Our guide for the day was Joaquim Forgas, an alumnus of the 2021-2023 cohort who occasionally works as a professional guide for Rainbow Tours, primarily offering tours in Spanish. However, on this occasion, Joaquim provided all information in English to cater to our diverse group of students.

–It is truly a pleasure to work with these students, hailing from nearly thirty countries across four different continents. Looking ahead, I'm excited about our upcoming Potluck party, scheduled for Friday, and I anticipate a delightful and diverse spread of dishes, says Susanne Kreitz Sandberg, Programme Coordinator.
