Goga Ashkenazi's 30th Birthday Party
Goga Ashkenazi was queen for the night at her extravagant 30th. Guests were instructed to dress 'sexy and fabulous' for the 30th birthday bash of Goga Ashkenazi, the Oxford-educated socialite pal of the Duke of York and Kazakhstan's hottest export to London. Some 260 friends descended on Anton and Lisa Bilton's Tyringham Hall, their green domed Buckinghamshire stately. R&B star Akon performed after arriving amazingly late, having been stopped at customs at Heathrow. Apart from that it was all about the birthday girl: the house had a vast image of her face projected onto it, the cake was a confection of Prada and Hermes handbags, the vodka ice bar had 'Goga' carved into it and Robert Hanson made a speech about her that included the inevitable Borat reference. The laughter was replaced by awed silence for a 40-minute laser show, which the crowd watched from the specially built nightclub. Fabulous.
