PBKreviews managed to get their hands on an early iPhone 15 Pro handset and then proceeded to record a teardown video showing just how repairable Apple’s latest smartphone actually is. It received a 7/10 repairability score, but gaining access to all of the components can be quite tricky for those without experience handling previous iPhones.
First, the display was removed using a plastic pry tool and then we see an aluminum heat cover. Next, a series of cables were disconnected, revealing the ambient light sensor as well as the camera assembly that is being held down by Philips screws. PBKreviews then dives deeper and takes a closer look at the earpiece speaker, selfie / FaceID camera, LiDAR sensor, battery, the taptic feedback motor, along with the backplate, which required some heat to remove.
