Hyunjin of Stray Kids is starting the new year with new face jewelry. The K-pop idol and global Versace brand ambassador just took to Instagram to show off his fresh eyebrow piercing, giving fans a closer look at his new perforation.
Stray Kids fans, known as Stays, first speculated that Hyunjin got an eyebrow piercing when he was spotted at the airport. He was en route to Jakarta, Indonesia, for the Golden Disc Awards when cameras caught a glimpse of the silver studs behind his Versace sunglasses.
Confirming the rumors, Hyunjin debuted the piercing, a horizontal barbell underneath the arch of his eyebrow, at the award show on January 6. It was first spotted when Stray Kids walked the red carpet, where Hyunjin wore an all-black, sequin-trimmed suit, highlighted by a long silver necklace and gold earrings that juxtaposed the new piercing.
Later, Hyunjin and his group mates — Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Felix, Seungmi, and I.N — performed their hit songs “MEGAVERSE,” “S-Class” and “Hall of Fame.” On the stage, Hyunjin wore a sleeveless military-inspired jacket adorned with silver embellishments and jewelry that matched his eyebrow piercing.
The piercing was there, but it wasn't taking center stage until a few days after the show. On January 9, Hyunjin posted his first Instagram pic with the eyebrow piercing. He posted a close-up with his head turned to the side, showcasing the new jewelry front and center. Like he typically does, he skipped the caption, but it’s fair to say this picture speaks for itself.

This isn’t the first time Hyunjin has dabbled with more experimental styles. In 2023, the star sported a step mullet, which has been featured in his Versace campaigns. He's also worn a ponytail at times, including the MTV VMAs red carpet. Throughout the year, he got a few manicures as well. (Though, they likely were not Sharpie ones like leader Bang Chan's.)
Recently, Hyunjin also shared a picture of himself with a faux bridge piercing. The look featured two studs on each side of his nose, connected by a silver bar going across the bridge. While the faux piercing looked great, it seems like he ultimately settled on getting a real one instead and we are all here for it.
