Yellow Kite has acquired a new book by Kirsty Gallagher, author of Lunar Living, Crystals for Self-Care and The Lunar Living Journal (all Yellow Kite).
Her new book, Sacred Seasons: Nature-Inspired Rituals, Wisdom and Self-Care for Every Day of the Year, will be published in hardback on 16th March 2023. Executive publisher Liz Gough acquired world all-language rights directly from the author.
The book will also be published by Hachette sister company Running Press, where it was acquired by executive editor Shannon Fabricant.
According to the publisher, Sacred Seasons takes the reader through the seasons of the year, with an emphasis on reconnecting with nature’s cycles.
Its synopsis continues: “Kirsty encourages us to live in alignment with nature’s rhythms to help us connect with the earth and our true selves. She shares information on the zodiac seasons, astrological meanings and insights into the moon’s cycles, suggesting ways to harness all this energy by offering the reader prompts, inspiration and daily rituals and practices.
“As we adjust to living in tune with the natural world and the seasons, and adopt the practices in this book, we will find support, inspiration and answers and our lives will take on more meaning.”
Gough said: “We are thrilled to be publishing Sacred Seasons in time for the Spring Equinox next year. The pandemic reminded us how crucial Mother Nature is at providing a balancing and stabilising influence in our lives when everything else is chaotic and out of our control. Kirsty has done an amazing job of reminding us of the importance of living seasonally, and—as in her previous books—she’s given her readers lots of practical ways to embody and practice her wisdom themselves at home.”
Gallagher commented: “I am delighted to be publishing another book with Yellow Kite, especially about something so close to my heart. My wish is that this book helps readers to reconnect to the wisdom, guidance and magic of nature and her seasons, and in doing so live a life of more purpose, meaning and connection. Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers and I cannot wait to share ways for everyone to learn from and live alongside nature once more.”
