John Simm hits out at ‘spiteful’ journalists after Radio Times Doctor Who interview

The Village star John Simm has hit back at “nasty, spiteful, trouble-causing” media coverage of comments that he reportedly made about fans of Doctor Who.

The Life on Mars actor, who played the Master in five episodes of Doctor Who, was widely quoted from an interview in which he apparently complained about the attention he receives from fans of the BBC sci-fi show.

He was reported to have told the Radio Times: “I do get a lot of Doctor Who. God almighty, I’ll be so happy when that’s gone from my life. They’re lovely, I’m sure, but I won’t miss it.”
