To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gustave Eiffel’s death, the Eiffel Tower and French DJ & producer Michael Canitrot are presenting an exceptional show, broadcast on social media and television.

Gustave Eiffel died on December 27, 1923. In this centenary year, the Eiffel Tower’s creator will be honored with an audiovisual concert by Michael Canitrot, broadcast on social media and television on the evening of December 27. This extraordinary collaboration between monument and artist culminates a year marked by tributes to Gustave Eiffel and his work.

The 50-minute program will be broadcast across several media channels:

Michael Canitrot and the Eiffel Tower will be presenting an unprecedented, state-of-the-art artistic performance on the monument: this spellbinding DJ set, combined with a spectacular light show, makes for a must-see event. Multi-talented guest artists will be joining Michael Canitrot for his magical show, including the ‘Spectre’ choir, the mezzo-soprano signer Yana Mann, the contemporary dancer Ablaye Diop, and the eclectic pianist Yann Dulché.

French actor Philippe Torreton will be the voice of Gustave Eiffel, guiding the audience on this fascinating journey: “It is 100 years since I was last here and I am very moved to be with you today, not in the flesh but in spirit (...). My aim was not only to build an iron monument. It was to create a universal symbol of progress, modernity, and ingenuity, demonstrating mankind’s ability to push the boundaries of engineering and defy gravity (...). This evening, it will once more enchant the mind as it welcomes a trendsetting event whose music is every bit as up-to-the-minute, echoing the sounds made by my beloved and monumental tower.”

This original, previously unseen event shows the monument in a new light, as it pays tribute to the audacity and creative genius of Gustave Eiffel.
