Michael Moore Ph.D.

In this role, he serves as a senior executive at the medical responsible for decisions affecting the nature, scope, and quality of the facility’s patient care programs and activities. In conjunction with the medical center’s leadership team and employees, he leads efforts to improve both the clinical and administrative operations of the healthcare system. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Network Director for the VA Heartland Network and also as the Assistant Director at the Kansas City VA. Dr. Moore joined the Veterans Health Administration in 2001 as a staff psychologist at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. During his tenure there, he also held an appointment as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology/Psychiatry with the University of Missouri School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Moore was a clinical instructor of behavioral statistics at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Moore has completed multiple details as Associate Director and served as the Interim Director of the John J Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and as the Interim Director at the Robert J Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He is a Senior Fellow with the Partnership for Public Service.
