Kristen Stewart Roasts Trump for Tweeting About Her Robert Pattinson Breakup: “F--k You, Bitch!”

“Of course he had to weigh in on my tarring and feathering,” she says in a new cover story, referencing his 2012 social media rampage against her.

More than a decade after the Twilight franchise concluded, Kristen Stewart is happy to leave much of the phenomenon behind—including her off-screen relationship with costar Robert Pattinson. “Rob and I can’t just keep talking about that shit, because it’s fucking weird,” she told Rolling Stone in a new cover story about her forthcoming film Love Lies Bleeding. “It’s like if someone kept asking you—I mean for literally decades—‘But senior year in high school?’ You’re like, ‘Fucking A, man! I don’t know!’”

Stewart acknowledged, however, that the fallout from their split—following Stewart’s affair with her then married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders_—_should never have been fixated on by one Donald Trump. Back in 2012, the eventual president tweeted about Stewart and Pattinson on 11 separate occasions, often casting the former in a disparaging light. “Of course he had to weigh in on my tarring and feathering,” Stewart says now. “It’s like, ‘What is this 20-year-old who has no idea about life doing to this man?’” As reported by Rolling Stone, Stewart also referred to Trump as “such a little baby” and declared: “Fuck you, bitch!”

The Oscar nominee addressed Trump’s social media vendetta while hosting Saturday Night Live in 2017, joking in her monologue, “Donald, if you didn’t like me then, you’re really probably not gonna like me now, ’cause I’m hosting SNL and I’m, like, sooo gay, dude.” At the time, Stewart told Entertainment Weekly that while she had “lived pretty openly” long before that public declaration, “in that moment, to make it normal and cool and completely unashamed? It felt really cool.”

Seven years later, Stewart said that it was a “very shoot-from-the-hip moment,” adding, “It did not feel like this bloodletting.” She had simply convened with the SNL writers, saying, “This is the most boring monologue ever. What are we going to do? What the fuck?” Then someone had mentioned Trump’s tweets. “He’s mad at me for cheating on my boyfriend?” she’d replied. “Little does he know….”

Since 2021, Stewart has been engaged to screenwriter Dylan Meyer. “I found the right person because I can be so obsessive about what I do. And luckily my girlfriend, my partner, we are into the same shit,” she explained. “We have taken the things that we’re spending our time on and interlocked them, and we’re so much fucking smarter and stronger together. And you’re just like, Fuck, that is the best.”
